Social Emotional Learning is imperative to the mental health and overall well-being of students and is fundamental to developing the cognitive abilities that are critical for success in school and in life. However, with the competing demands of the school day, educators continue to struggle with how to make it a priority, make it meaningful AND fit it in!
Written with the CASEL Framework in mind, SEL Goal of the Week provides a year’s worth of 3-5 minute scripted discussions, designed to interest and engage middle and high school students. It is a powerful stand-alone SEL curriculum delivered daily in individual classrooms that gains momentum with schoolwide implementation. But, that’s not all!! With built in flexibility, SEL Goal of the Week curriculum can also be utilized by school counselors (with small groups or individual students), club advisors and group leaders by mixing and matching topics based on needs and interests, and combining multiple mini-lessons to fill allotted class times.
